1. About Us:

1.1. Riz Remit Limited ("Riz Remit", "we", "our", or "us") is a company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 12102575, with its registered office at Saxon House, 27 Duke Street, Chelmsford, Essex, England, CM1 1HT.

1.2. Riz Remit Limited is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority as a Small Payment Institution under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 for the provision of money remittance services under Firm Reference Number (FRN) 916757.

1.3. Riz Remit is also registered with HM Revenue & Customs as a Money Service Business under registration number XXML00000171059 and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZB482144 for data protection purposes.

1.4. Our services may be accessed through our Website, Mobile Application, or any other digital or electronic channels made available by Riz Remit from time to time (the "Services").

1.5. In order to use the services, you may be required to create and maintain a customer account and provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information and documentation as reasonably requested by Riz Remit for identity verification, compliance, fraud prevention, security, and regulatory purposes.

1.6. To be eligible to use the Services, you must:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
  • Reside in a jurisdiction where the services are lawfully available.
  • Comply with these terms and conditions and all applicable laws and regulations.

1.7. By submitting a transaction request through the services, you authorize Riz Remit to process the payment instruction on your behalf in accordance with these terms and conditions. Each transaction constitutes a separate agreement between you and Riz Remit relating solely to that specific transaction. Riz Remit is under no obligation to process any transaction and reserves the right to refuse, delay, suspend, cancel, or request additional information in relation to any transaction where reasonably necessary to comply with legal, regulatory, fraud prevention, or compliance obligations.

1.8. You must not use the services for any unlawful, fraudulent, prohibited, or abusive purpose, including any activity that breaches applicable sanctions, anti-money laundering laws, counter-terrorist financing requirements, fraud prevention laws, or other applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

1.9. Riz Remit may amend or update these terms and conditions from time to time where reasonably necessary, including to reflect changes in law, regulation, business operations, technology, security requirements, or the services provided. Any updated version will be made available through our Website or Mobile Application and will become effective from the date specified in the updated terms and conditions. Continued use of the services following such changes shall constitute your acceptance of the revised terms and conditions. Where changes materially disadvantage customers, Riz Remit will provide reasonable prior notice unless immediate changes are required by law, regulation, fraud prevention, or security reasons.

2. Definitions:

In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:

"Account" means a registered customer profile created with Riz Remit for the purpose of accessing and using the Services.

"Applicable Laws" means all applicable laws, regulations, rules, regulatory requirements, guidance, statutory instruments, sanctions regimes, and industry obligations relating to the Services, including but not limited to the Payment Services Regulations 2017, anti-money laundering legislation, counter-terrorist financing legislation, data protection laws, and applicable rules or guidance issued by any competent authority.

"Business Day" means a day on which banks and financial institutions are open for business in England and Wales, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

"Customer", "you", or "your" means any individual who accesses or uses the Services, including a Sender.

"Execution Time" means the period beginning when Riz Remit is deemed to have received a valid Payment Instruction and ending when the funds are made available to the Recipient's payment service provider or payout partner.

"Online Service" or "Services" means the online money remittance services provided by Riz Remit through the Website, Mobile Application, or any other authorised digital channel made available by Riz Remit from time to time.

"Partner" means any bank, payment institution, electronic money institution, payout provider, correspondent, agent, service provider, or other third party engaged by Riz Remit in connection with the provision of the Services or execution of Transactions.

"Payment Instruction" means any request, instruction, or authorisation submitted by a Sender to Riz Remit for the purpose of executing a Transaction.

"Payment Instrument" means a payment method used to fund a Transaction, including a debit card, bank account, bank transfer, or any other payment method accepted by Riz Remit from time to time.

"Recipient" means the individual or legal person designated by the Sender to receive the funds relating to a Transaction.

"Sender" means the individual who initiates and authorises a Transaction through the Services.

"Transaction" means any money transfer request, payment instruction, or remittance transaction submitted through the Services.

"Website" means the official website operated by Riz Remit for the provision of the Services.

Words importing the singular shall include the plural and vice versa, and references to any gender shall include all genders. Headings are included for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these terms and conditions.

3. Use of Services:

3.1. In order to access and use the services provided by Riz Remit, We will verify that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law before onboarding you as a customer. We will refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the services where we are unable to complete the required verification checks or where the eligibility requirements are not met.

3.2. Riz Remit will conduct customer onboarding, identity verification, and ongoing monitoring procedures in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations, including but not limited to anti-money laundering ("AML"), counter-terrorist financing ("CTF"), sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, and Know Your Customer ("KYC") requirements. Such checks may include verification of identity, age, residency, source of funds, transaction purpose, politically exposed person ("PEP") screening, sanctions screening, adverse media checks, and any other due diligence measures deemed reasonably necessary by Riz Remit.

3.3. Riz Remit may carry out such checks in accordance with applicable laws, including but not limited to the Payment Services Regulations 2017, the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017, applicable sanctions regimes, and guidance issued by the Financial Conduct Authority, HM Revenue & Customs, or any other competent authority.

3.4. Riz Remit may restrict or suspend access to the Services where the use of anonymizing technologies, including VPNs or proxies, reasonably indicates fraud, sanctions evasion, security risks, or breaches of applicable laws.

3.5. You must ensure that all information and documentation provided to Riz Remit is accurate, complete, current, and not misleading. You must promptly notify Riz Remit of any changes to your personal information or circumstances relevant to your use of the services. Riz Remit may request additional information or supporting documentation at any time in order to comply with legal, regulatory, security, or compliance obligations.

3.6. The services are intended solely for lawful personal remittance purposes and must not be used:

  • For unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or improper activities.
  • For money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud, or any criminal activity.
  • For transactions relating to prohibited goods or services.
  • For business or commercial payment processing unless expressly approved by Riz Remit in writing.
  • On behalf of third parties or for the benefit of undisclosed persons.
  • In any manner that breaches Applicable Laws or regulatory requirements.

3.7. By using the Services, you consent to receive communications, notices, disclosures, and Transaction information electronically, including through email, SMS, push notification, Website notification, or other electronic means.

3.8. Any notice or communication sent by Riz Remit using the contact details provided by you shall be deemed received within a reasonable time after transmission, unless proven otherwise.

3.9. Riz Remit reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with applicable laws, to refuse, suspend, restrict, delay, cancel, reverse, or terminate access to the Services or any Transaction where:

  • False, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information has been provided.
  • We are unable to verify your identity or complete required due diligence checks.
  • You fail or potentially match sanctions, fraud prevention, PEP, adverse media, or other compliance screening checks.
  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent, unlawful, suspicious, or prohibited activity.
  • The use of the services may expose Riz Remit or any third party to legal, regulatory, financial, reputational, or security risk.
  • Such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulatory obligations, court orders, law enforcement requests, or requests from competent authorities.
  • You are otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions.

3.10. Riz Remit may report suspicious activity, blocked transactions, sanctions concerns, or other matters to relevant regulators, law enforcement agencies, governmental authorities, or other competent authorities where required or permitted by applicable laws.

4. Execution of Transfers:

4.1. When you submit a request to send money, you act as the sender and instruct Riz Remit to execute a transaction on your behalf. The total amount payable by you will include the transfer amount plus any applicable fees or charges notified to you prior to confirmation. The amount paid out to the Recipient (the "Payout") will be the transfer amount converted into the applicable currency, where currency conversion applies. A payment Instruction is deemed received once it is accepted and confirmed by Riz Remit through the relevant service channel.

4.2. You are solely responsible for ensuring that all information provided in relation to a transaction is complete, accurate, and up to date, including recipient details, payment information, and the transfer amount. Where Riz Remit processes a transaction in accordance with the information provided by you, the transaction shall be deemed correctly executed, even if incorrect or incomplete information was submitted by you. Riz Remit shall not be liable for any loss, delay, or misdirection of funds arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.

4.3. Riz Remit may, acting reasonably and in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory obligations, accept or decline any transaction request. Transactions may be declined where required to comply with legal, regulatory, risk management, fraud prevention, or internal compliance requirements, or where a transaction is inconsistent with these terms and conditions.

4.4. All transactions are subject to compliance screening and ongoing monitoring in accordance with applicable Laws, including anti-money laundering ("AML"), counter-terrorist financing ("CTF"), sanctions, fraud prevention, and Know Your Customer ("KYC") requirements. Riz Remit may request additional information or documentation from you or, where necessary, the Recipient, including identity verification, source of funds, source of wealth, and purpose of transaction information.

4.5. Riz Remit shall not be liable for any delay, failure, or interruption in the execution or completion of a transaction arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to delays caused by banks, payment networks, correspondent institutions, payout partners, or third-party service providers.

4.6. Riz Remit may place a transaction on hold where additional information, verification, or compliance checks are required. Where such information is not provided within a reasonable timeframe, Riz Remit reserves the right to cancel the transaction in accordance with its legal and regulatory obligations.

4.7. Estimated execution times may vary depending on destination country, payout method, banking systems, regulatory checks, and payout partner processing times.

4.8. Riz Remit is under no obligation to accept any transaction instruction and reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the services at any time in accordance with these terms and conditions.

5. Your Responsibility:

5.1. While Riz Remit implements appropriate security, fraud prevention, and compliance controls in accordance with its legal and regulatory obligations, you are also responsible for maintaining the security and proper use of your account and access to the services. You agree to comply with the obligations set out in this section.

5.2. You must take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access to your account, devices, and any channel through which the services are accessed.

5.3. You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your login credentials, security information, and any other authentication tools. You must not disclose such information to any other person and must take all reasonable precautions to prevent misuse or unauthorized access.

5.4. You must comply with any security instructions, authentication requirements, or operational guidance issued by Riz Remit from time to time in relation to the safe use of the services.

5.5. You must not upload, transmit, or introduce any material or data through the services that contains viruses, malware, spyware, or any other harmful or disruptive components.

5.6. You must not sell, transfer, assign, or otherwise allow any third party to access or use your account, credentials, or the services, whether directly or indirectly.

5.7. You must not attempt to conceal your identity or location, including through the use of anonymizing tools such as VPNs, proxies, or similar technologies designed to obscure your IP address or device information. Riz Remit may restrict or suspend access to the services where such activity is detected.

5.8. You acknowledge and agree that Riz Remit may, where permitted by applicable laws, carry out identity verification, credit reference checks, fraud prevention checks, sanctions screening, and other due diligence checks using third-party service providers. This may include sharing and receiving information about you for the purposes of identity verification, risk management, and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

5.9. You agree that failure to comply with this section may result in refusal, suspension, restriction, or termination of access to the services in accordance with these terms and applicable laws.

5A. Unauthorized or Incorrect Transactions:

5A.1. You must notify us without undue delay upon becoming aware of any unauthorized or incorrectly executed transaction.

5A.2. Subject to applicable law, we will refund unauthorized transactions promptly unless we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or gross negligence.

5A.3. Your liability for unauthorized transactions before notifying us will not exceed £35, unless you have acted fraudulently or with gross negligence.

5A.4. You may be liable for losses arising from unauthorized transactions where you have acted fraudulently or failed to keep your security details safe.

6. Pricing and Fees:

6.1. The fees, charges, and applicable exchange rates relating to the services provided by Riz Remit will be clearly disclosed to you before you are required to confirm and initiate a transaction. This will include, where applicable, the transfer fee, exchange rate, and any other charges associated with the transaction. All pricing information will be presented to you in a clear and transparent manner prior to execution of the transaction.

6.2. You are responsible for reviewing and understanding all applicable fees, charges, and exchange rates prior to initiating a transaction. By confirming a transaction, you acknowledge and accept the applicable pricing disclosed to you at that time. Riz Remit may update its fees and charges from time to time however, the fees applicable to each transaction will be those displayed and agreed at the time the transaction is created and confirmed.

6.3. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, all fees and charges relating to a transaction shall be payable by the sender. The recipient's financial institution or payout provider may apply additional charges for receiving funds, which are outside the control of Riz Remit and may vary depending on the payout method and jurisdiction.

6.4. Transactions may only be processed in currencies supported by Riz Remit and its payout partners. Available currencies will be displayed to you prior to creation of a transaction. Where currency conversion is applicable, the exchange rate will be displayed at the time of transaction initiation and confirmed prior to authorization.

6.5. You acknowledge that exchange rates applied to transactions may include a margin retained by Riz Remit, which may vary depending on market conditions, liquidity, payout method, and operational factors. The exchange rate shown at the time of transaction confirmation is the rate that will apply to that Transaction once authorized.

6.6. By submitting a transaction, you agree to the exchange rate, fees, and total transaction cost as displayed to you at the time of confirmation.

6.7. Following execution of a transaction, Riz Remit will provide confirmation detailing the total amount charged, applicable fees, exchange rate applied, and any relevant deductions or charges where applicable.

7. Payment Method for Money Transfers:

7.1. Riz Remit offers a range of approved payment methods to enable you to fund transactions securely. These may include debit cards, credit cards, bank transfers, and other payment options such as digital wallets, as made available from time to time within the services. Certain payment methods, including those linked to business accounts or corporate entities, may not be accepted.

7.2. For security, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance purposes, Riz Remit may require you to complete additional verification or authentication steps when making a payment. This may include, but is not limited to, confirmation of billing information, one-time password (OTP), or other security validations required by your card issuer or payment provider.

7.3. By using the services, you confirm that you are the authorized user of the selected payment method and that you have full legal authority to use it for the purpose of funding a transaction. You are solely responsible for ensuring that sufficient funds or credit are available to cover the full Transaction amount, including applicable fees and charges.

7.4. You acknowledge that while Riz Remit applies appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your payment information, no electronic transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure. Accordingly, you accept the inherent risks associated with online payments and agree that Riz Remit shall not be liable for any unauthorized access or interception of data occurring outside its reasonable control.

7.5. Payment methods are provided through third-party financial institutions and payment service providers. Riz Remit does not control and does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or uninterrupted operation of such third-party services. Your use of any payment method is subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant third-party provider, and any disputes relating to such services must be resolved directly with that provider.

7.6. By creating a transaction, you authorize Riz Remit to debit the full transaction amount, including all applicable fees and charges, from your selected payment method. Funds will be debited and must be successfully received and cleared by Riz Remit before the transaction is processed and executed. A payment Instruction shall be deemed received only once the relevant funds have been successfully collected and cleared.

7.7. Where payment information is incomplete, inaccurate, or invalid, or where sufficient funds are not available to cover the full transaction amount and applicable fees, Riz Remit may decline, cancel, or suspend the transaction. In such circumstances, access to the services may also be restricted where necessary for risk management, fraud prevention, or compliance purposes.

8. Transaction Cancellation and Refunds:

8.1. You may cancel a transaction at any time before Riz Remit has processed the transaction towards the payout channel for the payment of the transaction.

8.2. Where a Transaction has not yet been funded or accepted for processing, you may submit a cancellation request through your account or the relevant service channel. In such cases, no refund will be due as no funds will have been received or processed by Riz Remit, and the transaction request will be deemed cancelled.

8.3. Where funds have been received and a transaction confirmation has been issued, you may request cancellation however, cancellation and refund will only be possible where the transaction has not yet been processed or paid.

8.4. A transaction shall be deemed processed or paid and no longer eligible for cancellation once it has been executed, including where:

  • Funds have been paid out to the recipient's bank account, wallet, mobile number, or other designated payout method.
  • The recipient has collected, accessed, or otherwise received the funds.
  • Riz Remit has completed the payment instruction to its payout partner and the funds are no longer under its control.

8.5. Once funds have been transmitted to a payout partner, cancellation may only be possible where confirmation is received from the relevant partner that the funds remain uncollected and can still be returned. Where the funds have been collected or credited to the recipient, the transaction shall be final and irrevocable.

8.6. Where a transaction is validly cancelled in accordance with this section, Riz Remit will refund the applicable amount to the original payment method used to fund the transaction, subject to any deductions permitted under these terms or applicable law.

8.7. Riz Remit may deduct reasonable and proportionate costs incurred in connection with a cancellation request, including administrative costs, third-party charges, and foreign exchange losses, provided that such deductions will not apply where prohibited by applicable law or where you are otherwise entitled to a full refund.

8.8. Where a cancellation request is made, Riz Remit may require confirmation from you before processing the request. If we are unable to contact or verify your request using the details provided, the transaction may remain active until confirmation is successfully obtained, and Riz Remit shall not be liable for any resulting delay.

8.9. Riz Remit reserves the right to cancel any transaction prior to completion where a system error, technical issue, or operational failure results in an incorrect Transaction amount, payout amount, or processing discrepancy that could lead to overpayment or unintended disbursement of funds.

8.10. Where an overpayment or erroneous payout has occurred due to such an error, you acknowledge and agree that Riz Remit is entitled to recover the overpaid amount. You agree to fully cooperate with Riz Remit in recovering such funds, including providing necessary information or assistance. Failure to do so may result in further recovery action, including legal proceedings where necessary.

8.11. Where a refund is approved and eligible for processing, Riz Remit will aim to process the refund within four (4) to five (5) working days from the date the cancellation or refund eligibility is confirmed. This timeframe is a standard processing target and may be subject to delays depending on the payment method, banking systems, and third-party processors.

8.12. Refund processing may exceed the standard timeframe where delays arise due to circumstances outside Riz Remit's reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Banking or card network delays.
  • Technical system failures.
  • Regulatory or compliance requirements.
  • Sanctions screening, fraud prevention, or AML/CTF investigations.
  • Requests from competent authorities or law enforcement agencies.
  • Any other operational or legal requirement requiring further review.

9. Complaints:

9.1. We are committed to providing the highest standard of customer service and resolving any concerns you may have. If you are not happy with our services you can contact our customer support team on support@rizremit.com or by creating a complaint ticket through Riz Remit app or Web Portal, so that we can understand and seek to rectify your concern or issue where possible. Alternatively, you can chat with us to share your grievances, giving us the opportunity to assess and resolve the issue. If your concerns cannot be resolved at this early stage, You will be asked to set out your concerns in writing providing as much detail as possible, so that we can fully investigate your complaint. While you have the right to make a formal complaint verbally, in order for us to fully understand the issue and nature of the complaint, We may ask you to submit the complaint by email.

9.2. When you make a formal complaint to Us, we will acknowledge receipt of your complaint in writing as soon as practicable and in any event within 3 business days from receipt of your complaint.

9.3. We will aim to provide a final response to your complaint within 15 business days of receipt. In exceptional circumstances where we are unable to provide a final response within this timeframe, we will send you a holding response explaining the reasons for the delay and indicating when you can expect our final response. In any event, a final response will be provided within 35 business days.

9.4. If You are not happy with how We handle your complaint, you can contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), which is a free and independent service that may be able to settle a complaint between You and Us. More information and the FOS's contact details are found at https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk. Full details will be provided in our final response letter to you.

10. Data Protection and Privacy:

10.1. The processing of your personal data by Riz Remit is governed by our privacy policy, which is available on our website. By accessing or using the Services and accepting these terms and conditions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the privacy policy, and you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with it. You are encouraged to retain a copy of the privacy policy for your records.

10.2. Riz Remit processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018. The legal bases for processing may include, where applicable, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations (including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements), legitimate interests, and consent where required.

10.3. By using the services, you acknowledge and agree that Riz Remit may collect, store, process, and use personal data relating to you, the sender, the recipient, and any device or technology used to access the services. This may include identity information, transaction data, technical data, and usage information, where necessary for the provision of Services, compliance, security, fraud prevention, and regulatory purposes.

10.4. Riz Remit implements appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorised or unlawful access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, you acknowledge that no system or method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, you accept the inherent risks associated with transmitting information online.

10.5. Where required for the provision of services or compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, Riz Remit may share your personal data with third parties including regulators, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, payment processors, identity verification providers, and other service providers involved in the execution of transactions.

10.6. Where your personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses approved under UK data protection laws.

10.7. You have certain rights under applicable UK data protection laws, subject to applicable limitations, including the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), restrict the processing of your personal data, request data portability, object to the processing of your personal data including for direct marketing purposes, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at support@rizremit.com. Riz Remit may require verification of your identity before responding to such requests.

10.8. We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including compliance with legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements. Typically, this includes retention for a minimum of five (5) years in accordance with anti-money laundering legislation.

10.9. If you are not satisfied with how we process your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.

11. Intellectual Property Rights:

11.1. All intellectual property rights in the services, website, mobile application, software, systems, content, materials, branding, logos, graphics, databases, designs, text, interfaces, technology, and other materials made available by Riz Remit (collectively, the "Intellectual Property") are owned by or licensed to Riz Remit and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and international treaty provisions.

11.2. Nothing in these terms and conditions transfers or grants to you any ownership rights in the intellectual property other than the limited right to access and use the services in accordance with these Terms.

11.3. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the services solely for personal, lawful, and non-commercial purposes.

11.4. You must not, without prior written consent from Riz Remit:

  • Copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, display, transmit, or commercially exploit any part of the Intellectual Property.
  • Create derivative works based on the Services or Website content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from any software or system used in connection with the Services.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.

11.5. You may download or print limited portions of content from the website solely for your personal and non-commercial use, provided that all copyright and proprietary notices are retained.

11.6. All trademarks, trade names, logos, service marks, and branding displayed in connection with the services are the property of Riz Remit or their respective owners. Nothing in these terms grants you any right or licence to use such marks without prior written permission.

11.7. The Services may contain content, software, or materials owned by third parties and licensed to Riz Remit. All such third-party rights remain the property of their respective owners and are protected under applicable laws.

11.8. You must not create, establish, or maintain any link to the website or services from another website, platform, or source without Riz Remit's prior written consent. Riz Remit reserves the right to withdraw such consent at any time without notice.

12. Limitation of Liability:

12.1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12.2. Subject to clause 13.1, Riz Remit shall only be liable for direct losses that are reasonably foreseeable and arise directly from its breach of these terms and conditions, negligence, or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the services.

12.3. To the fullest extent permitted by Applicable Law, Riz Remit shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive, or special losses or damages.
  • Loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings, or reputation.
  • Loss, corruption, or misuse of data.
  • Losses arising from unauthorised use of the services by third parties, except where caused by Riz Remit's negligence or willful misconduct.

12.4. Riz Remit shall not be responsible for losses, delays, or failures arising from:

  • Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by you or a third party.
  • Failures of banks, payment networks, payout partners, telecommunications providers, internet service providers, or third-party systems.
  • Interruptions, delays, or unavailability of the application, website or services.
  • Compliance with applicable laws, court orders, regulatory obligations, or requests from competent authorities.
  • Fraud prevention, sanctions screening, AML/CTF reviews, or security measures reasonably implemented by Riz Remit.
  • Viruses, malware, cyberattacks, or other harmful technology originating from third parties.
  • Circumstances outside Riz Remit's reasonable control.

12.5. The Services are intended solely for personal and non-commercial money transfer purposes. Riz Remit shall not be liable for any business-related losses arising from unauthorised commercial or business use of the Services.

12.6. Riz Remit does not guarantee uninterrupted, continuous, error-free, or completely secure access to the services. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, system updates, security reasons, operational issues, or events beyond Riz Remit's control.

12.7. Riz Remit is not responsible for the quality, legality, delivery, or performance of any goods or services paid for using the Services, nor for disputes between you and any third party relating to such transactions.

12.8. Where Riz Remit is found liable under these terms, its liability shall, to the extent permitted by applicable Law, be limited to the amount of the relevant transaction together with any applicable fees paid by you in relation to that transaction.

13. Force Majeure:

13.1. Riz Remit shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control ("Force Majeure Event").

13.2. A Force Majeure Event may include, without limitation:

  • Natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, storms, fires, epidemics, pandemics, or extreme weather conditions.
  • War, terrorism, civil unrest, riots, labour disputes, or industrial action.
  • Failure or interruption of telecommunications networks, internet services, banking systems, payment networks, utilities, or third-party infrastructure.
  • Acts or omissions of governments, regulators, law enforcement agencies, or competent authorities.
  • Changes in Applicable Laws or regulatory requirements.
  • Cyberattacks, system failures, or technological disruptions.
  • Any other event beyond the reasonable control of Riz Remit.

13.3. During a Force Majeure Event, Riz Remit's obligations under these terms and conditions shall be suspended for the duration of the event and for a reasonable period thereafter required to resume normal operations.

13.4. Riz Remit will use reasonable efforts to minimise the impact of any Force Majeure Event and resume the Services as soon as reasonably practicable.

13.5. Where a Force Majeure Event continues for an extended period and materially affects the provision of the services, Riz Remit may suspend, restrict, or terminate affected transactions or services without liability, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Safeguarding and Regulatory Status:

14.1. Riz Remit Limited is registered the Financial Conduct Authority as a Small Payment Institution.

14.2. As a Small Payment Institution, we are not required to safeguard customer funds under the Payment Services Regulations 2017.

14.3. This means your funds are not protected under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

15. General Provisions:

15.1. These Terms and Conditions, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, claim, or matter arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions, the services, or the relationship between you and Riz Remit, unless otherwise required by applicable law or regulatory requirements.

15.3. If any provision of these terms and conditions is determined by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed severed from these terms and conditions and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15.4. These terms and conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and any documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Riz Remit in relation to the Services and supersede any prior understandings, communications, or agreements relating to the same subject matter.

15.5. Any failure or delay by Riz Remit in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that right, power, or remedy, nor shall any partial exercise prevent any further exercise of that or any other right or remedy.

15.6. Riz Remit may assign, transfer, or delegate its rights and obligations under these terms and conditions where permitted by applicable laws. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without prior written consent from Riz Remit.

15.7. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall create or be deemed to create any partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary, or employment relationship between you and Riz Remit.

15.8. These terms and conditions are drafted in the English language. In the event of any inconsistency between translated versions and the English version, the English version shall prevail to the extent permitted by applicable Law.

15.9. By accessing or using the services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you must immediately cease using the Services.
